Schoharie County is the heart of Leatherstocking Country. Located at the Northern end of the Catskills just west of Albany, Schoharie County is rich in history, stemming from the Revolutionary War and it's important role as the "breadbasket of the Revolution." The beauty that drew the first settlers to the region still draws visitors today from the historic mountain sentinal, Vroman's Nose, to the agriculturally rich Schoharie river valley.
