just 25 miles south of Albany, New York State's busy capitol, the
Hilltowns consist of Rensselaerville, Westerlo, Knox and Berne.
These four townships are part of the Heldeberg escarpment -- " the hills" above the Hudson River Valley. Each hamlet is unique; yet, they all share a common ground of small town charm, neighbors helping neighbors, and a keen sense of preserving their heritage.
